I am known mainly for 80s new wave and post-punk events, but I spin all genres of music and have very eclectic taste. I got to be a part of the acid house scene in London in 1988, and the deep house scene in London in 1989 as a kid, and the acid house nights with the Michael Alig/DJ Keoki in NYC summer of '88 at the Tunnel, The World, etc. I also grew up listening to WLIR/WDRE and clubbed at the legendary Spize/Malibu new wave clubs. My first event was an early 2003 Depeche Mode party in NYC - an after-work event which brought in a crowd of 250 people. I started DJing myself in January of 2005, when I started to have my own regular Depeche Mode in NYC. By July of 2005, I had a new monthly residency at The Raven Cafe in the East Village, spinning psychedelic, glam, garage, new wave and post-punk. Years to follow, I then had several weekly residencies at such places as Fix Cafe in Williamsburg (obscure new wave, 80s pop, punk), Loki Lounge in Park Slope (new wave, rock/pop/world/funk/soul/garage/psych/dub), Luke & Leroy 'Corrosion' (new wave/darkwave 80s), Mr. Dennehy's Pub (rock/pop/world) and at Double Down Saloon in the East Village (hardcore/punk/post punk). I have guest DJed and/or hosted my own parties at the following NYC venues: Remote Lounge (new wave), Rebel (new wave), Karma Lounge (rock/pop), Blu Lounge (Depeche Mode party & new wave party), Planet Thailand (world), ICU Bar, The Mean Fiddler (new wave), QXTs (new wave), Giorgio Gomelsky's Pad (60s psych), Abstraction (dark wave/industrial), 'Asylum' (new wave/darkwave), Opus 22 (new wave), Trash Bar (new wave), Down the Hatch (pop/rock), G Bar (old skool hip hop and rap), East Village Lounge (Depeche Mode/Smiths nite), The Mark Bar (classic rock/pop/world/new wave/punk/soul), Moomia Lounge (new wave), Albion Batcave/Downtime (post punk), Club Midway (all genres of music, including a night with Martin Moscrop of A Certain Ratio), Sound Fix (with Martin Moscrop), Fontanas (Joy Division night), Lit (darkwave/synth), Rubulad (60s 70s 80s avant garde mix), Flux Factory boat party (60s 70s 80s 90s dance mix), East Village Radio guest spot, Shadowlands (goth/pagan party), Otto's Shrunken Head (ska/rock/new wave/rockabilly/dub/punk, etc.), and in March of 2008, a gig at South Night Club ('Another Planet') with Dave Haslam in Manchester, UK (post-punk & Mcr), a Smiths/Morrissey night at Rehab with the Sons and Heirs, Rififi guest spot for glam night, an anti-war art gallery opening at Ogilvy & Mather, the Fab! Festival E. 4th Street block party, bi monthly all-Depeche Mode parties with the New York Depeche Mode Fan Club that are still ongoing to this day, 3 years later, normally 150 to 300 attend.... Past venues for this party include a cruise around NYC in a boat, Element, Le Royale, Sullivan Room, 310 Lounge, Le Poisson Rouge opening for Alan Wilder/Recoil and Highline Ballroom opening for Alan Wilder/Recoil, and the official Depeche Mode after-party for Madison Square Garden at Rebel (700 attended in total). I used to do online radio for a few years with Altrok and Xwave and had a guest spot with XM satellite Radio. I use either a laptop, CDs or vinyl/turntables!
