Dory hails from just outside Chicago, raised by classical music junkies who persuaded her to learn piano at an early age. In her teens she developed a taste for indie rock and punk, but soon joined the countless other suburban kids who would make the trek into the
City on weekends to frequent Medusa's and Limelight- notorious underage clubs that would become their introduction to dance music and culture.
While attending Northwestern University, Dory landed a DJ slot at WNUR, oft lauded as one of the top US college stations. After working as the station's Promotions Director and launching her first events, she secured positions at several record labels.
Dory's stellar track selection and programming has earned the respect of Desyn Masiello, who at WMC this year named her an "artist to watch" along with Balerik and Tom Morgan.
Dory now calls Los Angeles home, having spent the past 10 years in California where she has produced both one-off and weekly events. She is a resident of Listed, and of the local Moonshadows Summer Series. Frequent travel abroad over the years has encouraged Dory to experiment with different sounds, and she is currently working on her own original productions reflecting a fusion of styles.
