BIOGRAPHY

To simply mix two records can be accomplished easily by almost anyone, but to put the dance floor into a hypnotic state of movement and emotional backlash is an art form all to itself. This art form has not only been mastered, but taken to a new level, by Vancouver’s youngest female Dn’B DJ, B Traits.
Born and raised in Nelson, B.C., B. Traits discovered more than the low-level party scene and dreary lifestyle most associate with her small home town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. She breached her creative soul, picked up a turntable and a small pair of headphones, and pursued her passion for underground music. With Nelson acting as a cell, Traits planned an eventual jailbreak that landed her in Vancouver, BC.

Traits began to create a name for herself in Vancouver where she consistently stunned audiences and dance floors. Her eclectic, yet emotional style of chaos and desire, fused with the heavy beats of Drum n’ Bass have placed her at the forefront of the underground music community.

At only the age of 19, she has played alongside Dn’B’s finest from the shores of the West Coast, to the streets of Eastern Europe. Her future already consists of upcoming projects with Formation Records including the “In The Deep End” mix CD featuring MC Kay. With her tables set in her holster and headphones blasting conventional thought, B. Traits is here to conquer.
