Miss Money is an award winning vocalist and producer who currently resides in Houston, TX. Born the daughter of a Baptist preacher, Money began her young career as a child gospel singer and classical musician touring the South and East Coast. After graduating from the High School of Performing Visual Arts in Houston, the child prodigy received a brass scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Here Money studied with jazz great Phil Wilson and former Motown record executive, Professor Funk. She also attended lectures by Pattie Labelle, Oleta Adams, Sting, Quincy Jones and various other music greats. During her 5 year college career, Money also interned at BMG Records and Island Records. Upon graduating Sum Cum Laude, she moved back to Houston and began Money Talks Enterprises in 2003. The upstart urban company consists of Money Talks Records, Sista Gotta Do Music (BMI), Radio 713 and Money Talks Studios. She has been named Houston\'s Best Vocalist and in February 2003, produced her 1st mixtape, Mob Money I, a 2003 CD Baby Editor\'s Pick. She is a #1 Cornerband.com and #1 Soundclick.com artist as well as a 2005 Black Heritage Society Honoree. Dubbed an \"undeground musical genius\" by Curve Magazine, Money has also appeared in the New York Times, Instinct Magazine, Rolling Stone Magazine, Sapience Magazine and the soon to be released documentary, Pick Up Da Mic. Currently, she is in her third year of dj residency at Houston\'s hot nite spot, G Spot. She opened for entertainment greats such as BET comedy star, Joe Torrey and blues legend, Marvin Sease. Money has performed at the 1864 Opera House, George R. Brown Convention Center, appeared on Icehouse and two independent films, four compilations, dozens of mixtapes and is currently heard on Sky Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Digital Radio, and in the US, Croatia, Australia, United Kingdom, Austria, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Canada and South Africa. She is a devout Christian who works on music to relax. Money mixes and masters records as a hobby.
