Jazzmin T\'s appreciation for music began at a very early age. Her parents are both musicians and fed her musical curiosity by providing a variety of instruments for her to play with as she grew. Her first memories of turntables involved her brother and a few sound effects records that they would scratch and mess around with.
All through Jr High and high school, Jazzmin was a very active member of her school\'s music programs and played different instruments for each group. Jazz Band (guitar), Concert Band (bass clarinet), Marching Band (Tenor Sax) and Show Choir were part of her daily activities and she was accepted to several honor bands as well. At the age of 15 she earned the honor of 1st chair bass clarinet in the Colorado All State Band. She was also Drum Major of her school\'s marching band and Band Council President her senior year.
When Jazzmin was 15, her friend Jesse showed her an album that would alter her life forever. That album was Prodigy - Experience. After that (and an obsession with Nine Inch Nails), the floodgate to the world of electronic music had been opened. However, it wasn\'t until the age of 19 that she discovered the art of DJing.
In Fall of 1999 she stopped over at a friend\'s house and walked in on some of her friends taking turns at scratching a battle record on one turntable with no mixer. Her brothers in the crew she hung out with started to get more and more serious about DJing and took her along for the ride. They let her play with their turntables and records when they weren\'t playing and gave her pointers on how to match beats. In March of 2000, Jazzmin decided to get serious. She went out and bought some records of her own and it\'s been a non-stop journey ever since.
Now, Jazzmin plays in the Denver scene on a semi-regular basis and is also starting to dive into the world of promotion and production. Her first ever remix was debuted @ RadioActive Sheep Production\'s - Fire On The Mountain in Winter Park. Judging by the crowd\'s reaction, she seems to be starting on the right foot. Her production company, RadioActive Sheep Productions, a.k.a. RASP was co-founded by two of her best friends, Polymorph & Spun. Jazzmin met Poly & Spun @ a Halloween party in 2002. Ever since, the three of them have been fueling each other\'s creativity and altering each others reality. Who knows what will happen next?
All I can say in conclusion is keep an eye on this girl. She\'s taking over the world, one club at a time.
