With a degree in broadcasting and a lot of drive, Leanne has also been climbing the radiobroadcast ladder. It started in 1997 with the House music radio show House Call that she produced and hosted with DJ Little T. In 1999 she DJ'ed, programmed and hosted a 4-show, 9-hour intensive 'History Of Electronic Music' for CBC RADIO which was broadcast nationally across Canada. In 2000 she was featured on Germany's largest electronic music radio station: Groove Nation.
In 2000 GirlOnWax Productions began hosting various projects, the most exciting of those Fresh Air 96.1FM, "Vancouver's Only House Music Radio Show". She and partner/agent Simon Kane produced and hosted the Saturday night show, which featured live DJ sets, interviews and comedic announcing. Exciting producers/DJ's graced the Fresh Airwaves: Danny Tenaglia, Mark Farina, Charles Webster, Gene Ferris, Hipp-E, Ben Watt/Lazy Dog, Capitol A, DJ Heather, DJ Disciple and Onionz, to name a few. Fresh Air Radio consistently provided the best local and international House DJ's alongside a solid dose of House Music education.
Another consequential part of DJ Leanne is her up & coming talent as a Vocalist. Thus far she has recorded vocals for artists such as: Doc Martin & DJ Buck Korben Dallas, Jay Tripwire, and Hipp-E & Halo.
