BIOGRAPHY
Apple founded the Washington, DC-based party Natural Selection in 1998. The NS parties hosted strictly house DJs and put Apple's name on the local talent map. She then went on to throw a Friday-night house weekly at Platinum, bringing house legends like 95 North's Doug Smith to mainstream clubs. DC promoters M3 invited Apple to play her first big party, Bottlerocket II, with headliners Mark Grant and Ming & FS. This catupulted her into solid gigging, and M3 brought her back six months later to open up for Miguel Migs and Rasoul--solidifying Apple's standing as a noted house DJ. She began guesting all over Washington, Baltimore and their surrounding cities--as well as in London and Ghent, Belgium. Known for coming up deep and tapping out hard and quirky, Apple gracefully spans the vast genre of house music with track election skills that can not be touched! Currently Apple runs Innerloop Magazine, DC's only dance music publication. She is also a partner at Odds and Ends! Music and a co-founder of Chocolate Music (with Ray Casil).
